Born and raised in Rockford, IL. Jorge attended Boylan Central Catholic High School, graduating in 2007. In 2008, he signed with Coach Bill Angelo & Elgin Community College. In Jorge's Freshman year of 2008, the Spartans won the North Central Region IV DII tournament to advance to the NJCAA DII World Series in Millington, Tennessee for a 5th consecutive year, placing 5th overall. In 2010 he went on to play infield at Robert Morris University where they won the CCAC tournament and advanced to the National Tournament for the 1st time in school history. In the summer of 2010, Jorge played 2nd base for the Rockford Foresters in the inaugural season of the Midwest Collegiate Baseball League and went on to win the MCBL Championship.
In the Fall of 2011, Jorge began his coaching career as a Graduate Assistant with the Robert Morris Eagles. In the summer of 2012, Jorge was an Assistant Coach on the Dupage Hounds of the MCL. In the summer of 2014, Jorge Managed the Joliet Admirals in the MCL as the youngest Manager in League history. In the fall of 2014 he began coaching with Top Tier as a 16u Nationals and 17u Nationals head coach in 2015 and 2016. He was the head coach of the Top Tier 15u Americans team as well as the director for the 10, 11u, and 12u youth programs and the Top Tier Academy Operations Leader. Garza has trained professional players as well as college players.
